Bricklaying Update

The brickies are starting to get to the cool detail parts of the job (photos cunningly taken so you can't see too much of the mess all around!)  Double hung sash windows in the main bar await final inspection and finishing off with wooden beading.  Window sills still 'work in progress'

View from Gerald St

This view from the corner of West Belt/Gerald Street shows the three main areas of the building: bar, back of house (pre-clad in green waterproof board, awaiting recycled roof iron cladding) and two storey brewhouse.  You need to use a bit of imagination to see beyond the ugly white storage container and scaffolding, but not for too much longer!  The Council are due to start work in March upgrading the pavement and providing angle parking along our West Belt frontage - am guessing THAT will be a favourite parking spot from some of our future regulars.

Round the back

The recycled tin cladding on the back of the kitchen area, trimmed with chunky rimu posts.  Wooden sliding door reclaimed from The Twisted Hop in Poplar Lane leads through to the conditioning rooms at the back of the brewery
